Jared

Jared is a senior at Nales Creek, and is the younger brother of Jax Deloach. Unlike Jax, Jared is a normal 18 year old boy, who is just "cool" enough to be considered popular, but just lame enough to stay out of all the drama. His girlfriend, Kehmiie, is almost always by his side. They are best known as the couple that everyone wants to be, they never fight or argue about anything, and are always happy.
When it comes to his dragon form, Jared is very comfortable in it. He is not ashamed that he is a Cambiot, and rather enjoys going out at night with Kehmiie for midnight flies and such. The story behind Jared becoming a Cambiot begins in his freshman year, when his family and himself moved to Valesburge, and he started attending Nales Creek High. It was then that he met Kehmiie, and they struck it off from the very beginning. During the summer between their sophomore and junior year, Kehmiie revealed that she herself was a shape shifter, and opposite of what she had feared, Jared seemed to like the fact, and was rather intrigued. It was just before the end of the summer that Jared asked Kehmiie to change him, and she agreed that since they were to be together forever anyways, that she might as well.

Karmin

Karmin, a 17 year old junior at Nales Creek High, is a charming young woman, with a glow about her that seems to make everyone around her happy. Always smiling and giggling, she has never been seen in a bad mood, or upset about anything. She looks extremely young for her age, and is only 4'10" tall. She has ivory skin, and golden blond hair that falls in loose coils around her shoulders. She has icy blue eyes that literally seem to glow. She has brilliant white teeth, and everything about her is fashionable, and perfect.
Although it seems that Karmin has it all, that is truly not the case at all. Basically bred as a science experiment, Karmin has extra powers in both her human and dragon form. On rare occasions, some will have special powers when they are in their dragon form, due to genetic makeup tendencies that happen when two dragons breed. It has never been heard of for these powers to transfer over to ones human form, until now. Karmin is actually blind, through her eyes, that is. She has the power to see the truth in everything, every human, every animal, every idea. Literally, everything. Because of this, she can also sense everything around her, and see things in her mind, and this is how she is able to get around, and not run into things, for example.
Because of this power, as well. She has been able to see that she is not the only one able to shape shift at Nales Creek. But because things are at peace right now, she keeps it to herself, and doesn't bring it up to her parents, or introduce herself to the others. Well, this was the plan at first, at least, until she ran into Jax one day, and saw that he was suffering. She went on her way, but ever since then, she has struggled and fought with herself over the suffering boy.

Jax

As a second year senior at Nales Creek High School, Jax is known as the drop dead gorgeous, make-all-the-girls-drool, local bad ass. With his sarcastic attitude towards everything, he's strangely irresistible. As it is to be expected, he's had quite a few women, and doesn't seem to be interested in settling down with one girl anytime soon.
There's something about Jax that one can't quite put their finger on, but it's obvious to everyone that he has a few skeletons in his closet, seeing as no one knows a thing about his past, or even him for that matter. Except for one person..or thing..
One thing that has always particularly bothered Jax is his dragon form. Not only does it bother him, but it hits much deeper than that. His dragon form is quite strange, with a long neck, and long body, and long, skinny legs, he is in absolutely no way pleasing to the eye. He also has a rather stubby tail, and a long snout. His wings have no thumbs, and only two fingers. Because of how he looks in his dragon form, it has been years since he's switched into it. He basically lives the life of an average 19 year old human, except with a secret many people don't have to deal with.

Aslei

In her human form, Aslei attends high school as a 18 year old senior. No one knows anything about her background, and neither does she. All that she knows, is that she woke up one day, and was laying in an alley in her dragon form nearly beaten to death in a town called Valesburge. She nursed herself back to health, and decided to shed herself of her dragon ways, seeing as that's what probably got her nearly killed in the first place, and settled herself down in Valesburge and started attending Nales Creek High School as a junior.
As one of her kind choosing to live out in the open, and mingle amongst human kind, Aslei takes the term "tom-boy" to an extreme. When it comes to clothing, a pair of jeans, preferably skinny, and sagging, boxers, and a wife beater that is several times too small suits her just fine. Her dirty blond hair swings down around her calves, but because it is matted and stringy all throughout, at the end it is all different lengths. She usually keeps it tied together loosely behind her neck to keep it from hanging in front of her, but some of the shorter strands fall out, and hang around her face. She does, however, keep her bangs trimmed in the front, and her left eye is nearly always covered by them.
She is extremely skinny, which gives her an awkward, lanky look. She also has very big hands for her size, and awkwardly small feet. She always wears a smirk, and rarely gets upset about anything. Although she dresses very boyishly, her gorgeous facial features, and rather large boobs seem to keep the boys around her. However, no matter how many times they try, or how many of them do, she never seems interested in any of them in that sort of way.
As far as personality goes, she tends to stay by herself. She doesn't have any friends, and she likes to keep it that way. Though at school she may seem popular with boys seeming to stick to her like glue, she likes to stay a neutral party, so she doesn't get sucked into any drama. Fending for herself, when it's time to eat, she generally turns into her dragon form and hunts during the night.
